Hawks started to stretch their lead. Zach McCabe for three gives Iowa a leads of ten.
Devyn Marble caps it with a 3 towards his game high 28. It’s another win for Iowa, 75-63 over the Seawolves.
Coach McCaffery saved special praise for Marble, “He was phenomenal tonight. He handled the ball, got to the free throw line. He set the tone in a lot of ways. When I look at the stats, I look for things that jump out at me, and the thing that jumps out at me is 20 assists and 26 baskets. I think that applies to our team and he’s the guy.”
Defeated Stony Brook head coach Steve Pikiell also reserved praise for Iowa, “We’ve been treated first class. This is really an impressive school. How they handle everything, it’s just first class. I watched, and kept saying to my assistant coaches, “How is this team not in the NCAA Tournament?” adding, “the future looks really good here at Iowa.”
