The Revenue Estimating Conference met at the Statehouse Friday to release its latest financial projections for Iowa.

At a meeting in December, the REC predicted a 3-percent increase in revenue for Fiscal Year 2014.

Now, the numbers have been revised and raised by 3.5-percent to $6.87 billion.

By law, legislators must base their budgets on the REC estimates.
