VACATION DESTINATION: Small Iowa Town Ranked Among Best In America

You may not have to travel too far if you’re looking for a great small-town getaway with the family this summer.

Smithsonian Magazine rated Fairfield one of the 20 best small towns in America to visit in 2013.

The magazine suggests visiting Maharishi University and a museum featuring antique agricultural equipment.

You can also catch a show at the Sondheim Center for the performing arts.

Fairfield came in at number 7 on the list; Gettysburg, Pennsylvania was number one.
