The Cyclones proved all year they can play with anyone in the country.

The 2nd round of the NCAA tournament is no different and ended with a familiar result for ISU.

The winner of the match up with Ohio State would head to the sweet 16.

Cyclones trailed by 13 in the 2nd half, and played without Chris Babb who rolled his ankle.

Down 2, Tyrus McGee netted three to give ISU the lead, 72-71.

Call of the game came when with under 2 minutes to play, Will Clyburn, looked like an in and 1 but Clyburn is called for a charge, which was the wrong call.

With the closing seconds ticking down and the game tied at 75, the Buckeyes’ Aaron Craft pulled up for the win.  It’s more heartbreak for a gutsy Iowa State.

The Buckeyes win 78-75. ISU finish the season 23-12.
