Des Moines police say they have enough information to charge multiple suspects in a carjacking case that happened in February.

On February 27th, police found Mike Wasike lying in the road at 50th and Twana Drive. He had been beaten and suffered severe head trauma.

His car was found abandoned the following day at a south side apartment complex.

Police say they've hit the streets hard to find who committed the crime in hopes of giving family members peace of mind.

“Justice will be served and I’m happy that they got this guy so that they may not be able to do this with someone else,” says Wasike’s wife, Joan Namachemo.

The names of the suspects have not yet been released. Police say they plan to charge the suspects later this week.

Wasike is still recovering from his injuries and remains hospitalized.
