MORNING ROBBERY: Suspect Robs Dry Cleaners

West Des Moines police are investigating a robbery at a dry cleaning business Monday morning.

Police say it happened at the Victoria Cleaners at 900 Grand Avenue just after 7:30 a.m. Witnesses told police a man entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. He left with an undisclosed amount of money and got into a white or light colored vehicle that headed southbound on 8th Street.

Police say the suspect did not display a weapon during the robbery. He was wearing a black coat, black mask, and sunglasses.

An up to $1,000 award is being offered of information leading to an arrest in the case. If you have information you can contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at 223-1400.
