Supporters will show the power of the wind and the sun over the next three days in Des Moines.

The annual Iowa Wind Power Conference gets underway Monday at the Iowa Events Center

Researchers will showcase a study that concludes that 99.9-percent of electrical needs can be provided by wind, solar and new storage technology by 2030. They’ll present that research Tuesday.

Iowa is one of the top wind energy producing states in the nation.
