CAR JACKING: Three Teens In Custody

Des Moines police say three teens have been charged in a brutal carjacking.

Police believe the three, two fifteen-year-olds and a sixteen-year-old, pulled Mike Wasike from his vehicle at 50th and Twana on February 26th, beat him and left him unconscious near his home. His car was found the next day.

Wasike just recently came out of a medically induced coma.

Des Moines police say the suspects were in custody on unrelated charges. They haveĀ  now each been charged with first degree robbery in Wasike’s case and another count of first degree robbery for allegedly trying rob another motorist the same night.
