Three suspects charged in an eastern Iowa dog abuse case have pleaded not guilty.

Police arrested AJ Sellers, Kelsey Block, and Ty Hickman last month. All three are from Jesup.

Authorities believe they are connected to the animal torture and starvation of a dog.

The dog’s body was found emaciated, covered in feces and urine, inside a crate that was dumped along a Waterloo road in February.

Sellers and Hickman’s trials are set for July 24th. Block’s trial is June 5th.
