Five Drake football players spent their Thursday afternoon away from campus, cheering up kids at Blank Children’s Hospital.

The players set up backyard games and played them with the kids getting treatments. There was everything from bags and Hill Billy golf to tic-tac-toe.

“We pretty much qualify as human jungle gyms… they’ll crawl all over us …. They are usually smiling and laughing and pretty much what you imagine as a happy kid is what you see here.” Matt Acree explains.

After all the fun and games at the hospital the Drake players went back for spring practice.
