It was the weekend at ‘The Well.’ Triple header of Barnstormers, Energy, and Harlem Globetrotters. Big crowds Friday and Saturday, but the big draw was Sunday for the ‘World Famous’ Globetrotters.

Saturday the Cubs and Royals blew 9th inning leads. Sounds about right. Sunday the Cubs didn’t have a chance to blow it and the Royals did their best to. After 6-games both teams have questions at closer. Carlos Marmol lost his job to Kyuji Fujikawa. I hope this works out, but the Cubs need to find some offense. They’ve only scored 13-runs this season.

The start of baseball season always means it’s time to bust out the sunflower seeds. Right now I’m rolling with David’s Bar-B-Q flavor. The best is Spitz Dill Pickle. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it.

The parody of the Mike Rice was classic SNL. This was NOT ‘too soon’ but just right.

Last night I watched the Game of Thrones season premiere (again) with coworkers Andy Fales and Brandon McCauley. We agreed on most of our favorite/least favorite characters. Here’s my list:

  1. Arya Stark
  2. Tyrion Lannister
  3. Daenerys Targaryen (Khaleesi)

Least Favorite

  1. Joffrey Baratheon
  2. Joffrey Baratheon
  3. Joffrey Baratheon

HBO doesn’t have a bad show on its programming. In fact, they’ve actually cancelled some potentially great shows (How to Make it in America), but they have just debuted the most incredibly-raw show I’ve ever seen. VICE digs into some of the most real topics facing our world today. In the first episode co-founder, Shane Smith, interviews a member of the Taliban about suicide bombings. It’s insane. They show everything and I mean every. It’s a must watch. It’ll make you uncomfortable and that’s okay, that’s the point.

On the bright side, I’ll be at the Royals home opener tomorrow. Let’s hope it’s better than last year’s game. Royals gave up 7-runs in the top of the first. To the rest of you, have a great Monday!
