As a teacher at Indianola High School, he filled the minds of students. In retirement, Roger Netsch is filling the bellies of children overseas.

Roger is riding his bike from San Diego, California all the way to Orlando, Florida.

The goal of his three thousand mile ride is to feed 1,107 children; one child for each student at Indianola High School.

Indianola teacher Stephanie Becker says, “I think he’s one of those people who wants to constantly give back.”

People in his hometown ran a 5k marathon to help Roger raise money for hungry kids in Africa through a program called Mary’s Meals.
