A man accused of killing his wife in Boone in 2012 is back in Iowa after his arrest in Kansas City earlier this week.

Alexander Fazzino is charged with first degree murder in the death of his 32-year-old wife Emily Fazzino. She was found dead in a bathroom at the couple’s home on January 29th, 2012.

Fazzino was arrested Sunday afternoon in Kansas City after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was transported back to Iowa Tuesday and is being held in the Boone County Jail.

Fazzino made his first appearance in Boone County court Wednesday morning, where a bond of $1.5 million was set. Fazzino’s attorney has requested a bond review hearing.

Investigators say Alexander Fazzino choked or drowned his wife. She had filed for divorce about a week before her death.
