The metro housing market continued to shift to a seller’s market in March, according to the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors.
They say the year has started off stronger than they have seen in the last few years with sales increasing and inventory decreasing.
“Closed transactions for March are up nearly 45 percent over February’s numbers,” says Larry Pickering, president of the DMAAR. “As of March 31st, we’re already 295 sales ahead of last year’s sales to date.”
The Association says nearly 800 homes were closed on in March with an average of 106 days on the market.
