People in northern Iowa are cleaning up from the aftermath of freezing rain.

Mother Nature hit them with a thick coat of ice Wednesday into Thursday and it brought down trees and power lines in the town of Larchwood. Power was knocked out to the whole town.

There are still thousands of people without power in northwest Iowa and northeast Nebraska Thursday.

There is good news though, Spring-like weather will return sooner rather than later to melt the ice away.
