Showers and thunderstorms are going to be a BIG part of the forecast through Thursday night.
Storms will move into western Iowa by the morning commute and then continue to line up over the rest of the state through the evening hours on Wednesday.
Thursday morning will also be wet.
There is a flash flood watch for eastern Iowa.
Showers and thunderstorms will send us over an inch of rainfall. We will see some spots with more than 2 inches of rainfall.
The temperatures will be cold by Thursday night. This will mean a chance for snow mixing into the forecast Friday morning.
The snow will again accumulate in northern Iowa and Minnesota.
The weekend will be a bit warmer. Saturday looks dry…but more showers will kick up Sunday night and Monday morning.
