Things could soon get wild in Des Moines. The Minnesota Wild AHL franchise will officially seek approval to move to Des Moines next season according the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

If approved the team name would be changed to the Iowa Wild.

It’s been four years since Des Moines was home to an AHL franchise. The Iowa Stars later named the Iowa Chops played here from 2005-2009.

A press conference could come as early as Monday.
