CASINO VOTE: Record Ballot Requests For Special Election
Warren County residents plan to make their votes count in the decision to build a casino in the county.
The Auditor’s office says they have already received nearly 900 ballots for the May 7th gambling referendum.
Wild Rose Entertainment wants to build a casino, convention center and bowling alley in Norwalk between the Southwest Connector and Highway 28.
The referendum will serve as the first step to approve the project.
The Auditor’s office says more than 1,900 ballots have already been requested in the special election, which is about 3 times more than a typical special election.
Early voting is allowed up until Election Day.
