The latest drought map shows the state has made some big improvements in the last week.

About half of the state is now drought free.

The western edge of the state could still use some precipitation.  A portion of Plymouth County is still seeing the most severe drought conditions, which is indicated by the red color on the map.

The report is put out weekly by the USDA and National Weather Service.
