Alexander Fazzino has been released from the Boone County Jail after posting bond.

Fazzino was released around 11:00 a.m. Thursday. He is charged with first degree murder in the death of his wife Emily Fazzino. She was found dead in a bathroom at the couple’s home on January 29th, 2012.

Fazzino was charged with her murder earlier this month and arrested in Kansas City. An initial bond of $1.5 million was set, but a Boone County judge reduced that to $500,000 Tuesday.

No conditions were placed on Fazzino's release as the judge agreed he was not likely to flee. His attorney, Bill Kutmus, says he plans to return to his home in Kansas City.

A date for Fazzino's next hearing in the case has not been set yet.
