The Metro Waste Authority has joined with a local artist to spruce up their downtown location.
The Authority has commissioned Moberg Gallery and artist Chris Vance to create a mural with an environmental message on the side their East Village location.
Executive Director Tom Hadden says, “Every year, we allocate funding for public education. The mural is part of this goal, and will ideally increase foot traffic to East Village.”
The Authority hopes the mural inspires people to protect the environment.
Rain delayed the start of the project, but Vance hopes to complete it in three to four weeks.
