The trial for a Boone County man accused of killing his wife is set to go on trial this week.

Josh Powell’s first degree murder trial is scheduled to begin on Tuesday at The Boone County Courthouse.

Powell is accused of killing his wife Jaclyn inside their Ogden home last October.

An autopsy revealed Jaclyn died of asphyxiation due to strangulation.

Investigators say the two got into a fight when Powell intentionally struck her. He left the home and didn’t call authorities until the next morning.

If convicted, Powell could face life in prison.
