THREE MINUTES: Tom Brands
The International Olympic Committee’s decision to drop wrestling sent shockwaves through the sport and through the state of Iowa.
In response, Governor Branstad helped launch a petition to save Olympic wrestling.
No one is more passionate about that effort than Tom Brands.
The Hawkeye wrestling coach won a gold medal in the ’96 games. Since then, his success and his outspoken style have made him one of the sport’s most controversial figures.
This week, Brands is subjected to Three Minutes in the Chair with Dan Winters.
