Nightcap of Severe Storms

Ed's Weather Journal

Severe thunderstorms popped up around 10PM last night. We had a beautiful day that allowed us to heat up to the lower 80s. Then we cooled off enough to set up the strong storms with large hail and damaging wind. We also had reports of localized flooding between Highway 30 and Highway 20 in northern Iowa.

This picture was taken between Adel and Redfield in Dallas County.

We also had several shots of lightning that were uploaded to the photolink file on You can also send us your pictures with the 13WarnMe app for iPhones and Droids.

More strong storms are expected tomorrow night. That will come after the final day of above-normal temperatures this week. Much more rain is on the way this week too.
