Cabin fever is setting in. For back-to-back nights the I-Cubs were postponed thanks to snow and now the rain has put Saturday night’s game on hold too.
The tarp was on the field for batting practice so players were cooped up inside all day.
“In baseball you play every single day. There’s not many days off, maybe one a month and so getting these days off you try and simulate the game as best you can, as difficult as it is to try and get your swings in and make sure we keep our legs in shape,” said Manager Marty Pevey.
Tonight’s game was called off Saturday afternoon due to rain. Sunday’s game against Oklahoma City is due for a 1:05 p.m. first pitch, weather permitting.
