METRO ROBBERIES: Police Investigate Two Incidents

Metro police are investigating two separate incidents from Friday night.

Around 11:30 p.m., the owner of the Dragon House East Restaurant was assaulted as he was locking up for the night.

A police report says the victim was carrying the deposit bag when two men knocked him down, kicked him and took off with about $400.

The victim was treated and released for minor injuries.

Git-N-Go Robbery

git n goA robber got away with $100 from the Git-N-Go at 4900 University Avenue Friday night.

Police say a man walked in saying he had a gun in his pocket but never showed a weapon.

The clerk handed over the money from the cash register and the man took off.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40-50 years old, 6’2” and about 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
