Former Cyclone basketball player Tyrus McGee was arrested Tuesday night.

Police say McGee found a wallet left behind at an Iowa State cafeteria, and stole the money.

Someone returned to the cafeteria to claim the wallet, and found $200 missing.

Surveillance video identified McGee and an ISU Public Safety spokesperson says McGee admits he took the money, and spent some on groceries.

He faces charges of fourth degree theft.

McGee is the Big 12’s Sixth Man of the Year. He led the nation in three point shooting percentage, and averaged 13 points a game.
