The whacky spring weather we have had lately appears to have delayed allergy season, but doctors say it’s here now and it will likely be severe.

Typically pollen season begins in early April, but this year colder weather and lots of rain have pushed it back.

Allergists says that when the trees get off to a late start, the allergy season tends to be more severe –  causing even worse symptoms for those affected. “The early ones are late and the later ones are on time, so they are all coming together for a big explosion over the past week,” Dr. Mark Blaser explained.

Doctors say letting the air conditioner run in your house is a good way to filter out allergens from your home.
