The weekend forecast is going to bring some cooler temperatures and a not-so-nice present for a few moms across northern Iowa on Sunday.
A couple pushes of cold air will keep most of the state in the upper 50s or low 60s for highs this weekend. Sunday morning will even see lows in the 30s, with patchy frost possible in Northern Iowa.
The state will warm up quickly after that with highs shooting through the 70s on Monday and the upper 80s on Tuesday. Some 90s will even be possible in Western or SW Iowa.
Showers and storms will be possible on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday, but at the very least, the first half of the week should bring a good opportunity to get started on the planting season for many areas.
