A shot fired near the Asian heritage celebration Saturday struck a teen in the foot.

Around 7 p.m. Saturday night, police heard one shot fired near East 14th and Grand Avenue.

Officials say a group of juveniles were fighting inside the CelebrAsian festival. The argument then moved a few blocks away.

That’s where a 15-year-old says he was shot in the foot.

The boy, who showed up at the hospital, told police he was walking towards McDonalds when someone fired a shot out the passenger side window of a car passing by.

The teen’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Police have not identified any suspects.
