GRADUATE TIPS: Nailing That Interview

Last month students from Grandview University walked across the stage to get their diplomas. This weekend, Iowa State graduates will be doing the same thing.

A lot of seniors are now looking for their first real job. And good news - a new report from the National Association of Colleges and Employees say more graduates are likely to find a job this year.

Counselor Susan McBroom joined us Saturday with some tips on how people can nail that interview and get that job.

Here are her tips on how to get the best resume:

  • Proof read and get feedback
  • Be clear and concise
  • Keep resume to 2 pages
  • Market your resume by targeting the job


After you send your resume:

  • Be aggressive
  • Call employers back within a week
  • Research the company through their website
