On Monday, Governor Branstad will introduce his pick for state auditor.

The position is usually a statewide elected position, but current auditor David Vaudt resigned for a new position in Connecticut.

The governor’s new appointment will serve the remainder of Vaudt’s current term, which ends after the 2014 election.
