The Urbandale Police Department is honoring officers who’ve lost their lives in the line of duty.

It is holding the annual Police Officer Memorial Tuesday night at 5:30. The ceremony is at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on 75th Street. The service is open to the public.

The department says it will honor officers killed in the line of duty, as well as honor those retired and still serving their communities.

There will be a presentation of colors, flag folding, 21 gun salute, playing of taps, and bag pipes.
