State lawmakers are closer to wrapping up the 2013 session.

Tuesday night, Iowa House and Senate leaders reportedly reached an agreement on a budget.

The Des Moines Register reports the two sides will spend $6.48 billion in the next fiscal year. That’s a 3.4-percent increase in spending over the current year.

It includes a two-percent increase in spending for schools.

Wednesday marks the eighth day of unpaid overtime for legislators.
