Des Moines Police are looking for information regarding a robbery which took place earlier this month at a convenience store.

On May 3, police say the suspect walked into the Git N Go at 4900 Urbandale Ave in Des Moines and demanded money from the store clerk. A weapon wasn’t shown, but police say the suspect had a hand in his pocket as if he was armed.

Police have released images of the suspect taken by surveillance cameras. He is described as a black male, 30-40 years old, weighing approximately 220 pounds. He was wearing an “Ecko” coat over a black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery.

If you have information on the robbery, you’re asked to call the Des Moines Police Detective Bureau at 515-283-4864 or the Polk County Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 515-223-1400.
