Over the next month, members of the U.S. Coast Guard will bring some cheer to veterans across the country.
Off-duty members of the U.S. Coast Guard are on a special mission to drive an electrically powered go-cart across America. The cart made its way through Iowa Wednesday with a stop at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.
The trip is expected to take 28 days, coming to an end on May 26th in Yorktown, Virginia.
The purpose of the mission is to raise awareness for the injured service members of the Wounded Warrior Project.
