The jackpot for Saturday’s Powerball drawing is making history.
The top prize is a record-breaking $600 million. It’s the largest jackpot in the 21-year history of the game and the second-largest lottery jackpot ever worldwide.
The previous record Powerball jackpot of $587.5 million was won in November of 2012 and split between two tickets in Arizona and Missouri.
Saturday’s jackpot comes out to $376.9 million if the cash option is chosen.
Lottery officials say that about 80 percent of tall the possible combinations of playable numbers will be bought for Saturday’s drawing. The odds of winning the jackpot are about one in 175.2 million.
