We have a rather steamy day in store for us today! Skies will be sunny with highs well above average. Most areas will reach the mid to upper 80’s by this afternoon. Winds will be breezy at times, coming mainly from the SSE at 10-20mph, possibly gusting up to 25mph.
Sunday looks like it’s going to be a fairly active weather day, with our first real shot at some severe weather this year. After some morning showers and thunderstorms skies will clear out rather quickly, allowing temperatures to jump back up into the mid 80’s yet again. As we head into the late afternoon/evening, thunderstorms will develop off to the west, slowly making their way toward the central portions of the state. Some of these storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and even a few isolated tornadoes possible. Be sure to keep an eye to the skies throughout the day tomorrow, and we will be sure to bring you any updates should severe weather develop.
Looking ahead to next week, we will still see some showers and thunderstorms, however we won’t be nearly as active as this weekend. Temperatures will be cooler, with highs only reaching the low 70’s by the middle of the week.
Have a great Saturday!
