SUSPECT SOUGHT: East Side Bank Robbery

Des Moines police are looking for an armed robber who held up a bank on the east side Monday afternoon.

Police say a heavy-set white man in his 30’s walked into the West Bank on East Euclid around 1:30 p.m. and demanded money at gunpoint.

The teller complied and the robber made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Police say while he was running across the parking lot he dropped about $2,000 in cash.

The suspect then left in a black two-door Pontiac.

No one was hurt during the incident.
