BOY SCOUTS: Vote Overturns Gay Ruling
The Boy Scouts of America has reached a decision regarding allowing homosexuals in their organization.
More than 1,400 volunteer leaders from across America voted and more than 60 percent voted for a policy stating no youth may be denied membership on the basis of sexual orientation. The decision will reverse a more than century old policy banning homosexuals from the organization.
Despite today’s decision, the Boy Scouts will continue its ban on allowing openly gay scout leaders in their ranks.
