Lawyers for an Early man accused of killing his mother hope to have his trial moved, again.

Police say Kirk Levin kidnapped a Storm Lake woman in January, and planned to sexually assault her, but the woman was able to escape. While authorities were investigating that crime them happened upon the body of Levin’s mother slain in her Sac County home.

Two weeks ago, a judge granted Levin a change of venue, moving the trial to Fort Dodge.

According to our affiliate station KTIV,  Levin’s attorney submitted papers to have the trial moved again due to media coverage in the recent kidnapping of two Dayton girls, not far from Fort Dodge.

The attorney says the jury would be picked from people, who may have heard about that case which could ruin Levin’s chances at a fair trial.
