Residents in Kellogg no longer have to boil their water before using it.

The Department of Natural Resources says the boil advisory has been lifted.

The city had been under an advisory since Monday afternoon when heavy rains inundated drinking water wells and there was concern that bacteria may have contaminated the water supply.

According to the DNR the water was tested on Friday and showed no signs of contamination.
