The Principal Charity Classic moved to the Wakonda Club this year, rain and rising rivers threatened to overshadow the golf, but on day one of the actual tourney, the sunshine returned.
Wakonda is playing a lot harder than the players expected, they say it’s much tougher than Glen Oaks. When you mix the rain, long rough, fast greens, going low is not the norm.
At the end of the day we’re left with a four-way tie for first Dan Forsman, Scott Hoch, Tom Lehman, Duffy Waldorf all -3.
Defending champ Jay Haas is at 1-under, just 2 shots back.
