A national study shows Iowa has the largest racial disparity in the country when it comes to arrests for marijuana possession.

According to the study, in Iowa a black person is over 8-times more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession as a white person.

However, statistics show white and black people use marijuana at about the same rate.

Iowa is followed by Washington D.C., Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.

The report is done by the American Civil Liberties Union and is based on data collected from the FBI and U.S. Census Bureau.
