A Jasper County inmate is back in police custody Wednesday morning after escaping Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday 28-year-old Lindy Henry escaped custody while being treated at Skiff Medical Center.

She was being held in the Jasper County Jail on a probation violation for several previous convictions.

Around 9:40 p.m. last night, officials say a homeowner called police, saying Henry was in the backyard.

Henry was taken back into custody and will likely face additional charges for escaping.
