The search for a missing Dayton teen picks back up this week.

15-year old Kathlynn Shepard disappeared May 20th after getting off the school bus.

Police say Michael Klunder abducted Kathlynn and another 12-year old girl.

The 12-year old escaped. Police say Klunder took his own life later that day.

Extensive searches have produced no leads to Kathlynn’s whereabouts.

The search was suspended last week, but now the Des Moines Register reports that the Dayton police say the will be back on the Des Moines River searching this week.

Chief Nick Dunvar says the Iowa DNR will put boats on the water to help search for Kathlynn.
