Firefighters in Norwalk battled a fire for more than three hours Thursday.

Officials say a passerby called in the fire at a barn-workshop on West North Avenue just after 11 a.m.

When crews arrived on the scene the roof had already collapsed leading firefighters to believe the building may have been burning for some time.
