POLICE CHASE: Driver Still On The Run

Three people were hurt after a short chase on the city’s north side that left a trail of damage Wednesday night.

Just before 10 p.m., officers tried to pull over a van for driving without headlights when the driver took off near Birdland Park.

The person only drove a few blocks before crashing into several parked cars and coming to a stop at 6th and Sheridan. A utility pole was also damaged.

The driver ran away. Officers were not able to find him.

Three people were injured. Paramedics took one person to the hospital, but police did not have an update on their condition.

Two other people had minor injuries and were treated on the scene.
