Ian Stewart was supposed to be the 3rd baseman of the future for the Chicago Cubs but injuries and lack of production sent Stewart to Des Moines where he was hitting just .146 before Saturday’s games.

The I-Cubs have lost 8 of their last nine before taking on Round Rock.

What a day for Stewart, he gets three homeruns on the day, tying a team high 8 RBI's.

Ian Stewart 8, Round Rock 5

I-Cubs win game 2 of the doubleheader 5-4.
