Each year, more than seventy-thousand people attend a performance at the Des Moines Community Playhouse. After more than seventy years, the theatre is starting to show some wear and tear.
Most people don`t realize that the playhouse was built on property that used to serve as a landfill.
The ground has settled and the facility on 42nd Street is in need of several costly repairs.
